News and Announcements

LaCroix offers new online service to clients!
We're excited to announce that we have teamed up with ePetRecords, an online service that will give our clients online access to their pet's medical records and information.  This kind of access can really be helpful when traveling, in an emergency, or just when you want reminders and access to making appointments after hours.  All this is offered at NO CHARGE to our clients.  All you need to enjoy these benefits in internet access and, if you have email, that's even better.  Come by or call the clinic for more information.  We will also be sending out email to clients who have their email addresses on file so watch for that, too.

Did you know cats & dogs can be diabetic?
November is "Pet Diabetes Awareness Month".  If your pet is experiencing excessive thirst, frequent urination, excessive hunger while still losing weight, and lethargy, these are some of the symptoms that would be worth checking out with your veterinarian.  The good news is that diabetic pets can be successfully treated and their disease managed so that they have a similar life expectancy as a non-diabetic cat or dog.  If you think your pet might have a problem, call the clinic for an appointment with your doctor.  You can also visit http://www.petdiabetesmonth.com/ for more information.

Don't Forget .... "Twice A Year For Life!"  Veterinary experts now recommend that, for improved quality of life and to add years to their life, pets receive an exam every six months.  Because cats and dogs age faster than people, significant health changes can occur in as little as three to six months.  Taking your pet in to your veterinarian every six months provides the opportunity for early detection, treatment, or prevention of potentially life-threatening condition.  The "twice-a-year" exam will be tailored to every individual pet's needs.  Getting into the "Twice-A-Year For Life" habit is a wonderful gift to your pet and your family.
